Radiator Installation & Replacement in Bristol

New radiators for new spaces, replacement radiators for old worn-out ones, or moving an existing radiator to a better location. We handle all of it as part of your existing central heating system.

Radiator Repairs in Bristol

If your radiators have gone cold, started leaking, or stopped behaving the way they should, the fix is usually simpler and cheaper than people expect. Here’s what we sort regularly across Bristol homes.

Cold Radiators

Radiator cold at the top, cold at the bottom, or cold all over? Each problem points to a different cause. Cold at the top usually means trapped air and needs bleeding. Cold at the bottom usually means sludge build-up. Cold all over often means a closed valve or a circulation issue. We diagnose the actual cause and fix it properly, not just bleed the radiator and walk away.

Leaking Radiators

Leaks come from the valves, the body of the radiator, or the joints where it connects to your pipework. Most leaks are repairable with replacement valves, new olives, or tightening fittings the right way. For corroded radiator bodies, replacement is usually the better answer.

Radiator Valve Replacement

Failed TRVs (thermostatic radiator valves), seized lockshields, or old gate valves replaced with modern equivalents. Lets you control each room’s heat properly, and saves you money in the long run.

Bleeding Radiators

If you’ve never bled your radiators, or you’ve tried and it didn’t fix the cold spot, we’ll do it properly, check system pressure, top up the system if needed, and make sure the problem is actually solved.

Noisy Radiators

Banging, gurgling or whistling radiators usually mean trapped air, sludge build-up, or kettling caused by limescale. We identify the actual cause and fix it, rather than just turning the thermostat down.

Radiator Installation & Repair Bristol FAQs

Cold at the bottom of a radiator almost always means sludge has built up inside, which stops hot water reaching the lower section. Bleeding won't fix this. The proper fix is a power flush, sometimes combined with a magnetic filter to stop sludge returning.

Cold at the top usually means trapped air. Bleeding the radiator with a radiator key releases the air and lets hot water fill the whole radiator. If it keeps happening, there may be a leak or air ingress somewhere in the system worth investigating.

It depends on whether you're adding a new radiator, replacing one in the same spot, or moving one to a different wall. We charge a low call-out fee, see the job, and give you a fixed price before any work starts. Most straightforward replacements are done in one visit.

Check the thermostat is set to call for heat, the boiler has power, and the system pressure is in the normal range (usually 1 to 1.5 bar). If all that looks right and there's still no heat, call us and we'll diagnose properly.

Yes. We fit any radiator you've chosen, whether that's a standard panel radiator, a tall column radiator, a designer vertical, or a heated towel radiator for bathrooms.
